If your budget is a bit limited. We can offer a more affordable option in the Cuyabeno Reserve in the Ecuadorian Amazon Rainforest. Traveling to our lodge in Cuyabeno means living in harmony with nature, with all the necessary facilities.

Activities

PAÑACOCHA LAGOON The lagoon is located in the territory of the Kichwa Commune San José de Guayusa in a good state of conservation. Sucumbios Province - Shushufinfi Canton. It has an area of approximately 8 kilometers and is located on one side of the Pañacocha River whose flow is 25 meters wide. In this lagoon we find an extensive variety of animals, all in their natural state: the toucan, paugil, parrot, parakeet, macaw, woolly monkey, mico, apart from animals that have their habitat on land such as: guanta, guatín, capiguara, deer, tiger, tigrillo and dolphin pink.

INTERPRATION CENTER - KICHWA FAMILY Experience engage with some Kichwa communities along the banks of the Napo River to learn more about their customs, traditions, dance and music. Through an unobtrusive dialogue, we learn about their day-to-day lives: how they dry clothes in the jungle and the challenges of getting to school, before helping to prepare and trying traditional food.

MANDI WASI WOMEN'S PROJECT  Located in the Pilche community this initiative is led by the Warmis (women) who share their culture, gastronomy, and way of life. It’s an intimate, unique experience, in which we discover both the differences and similarities between our own and another culture. The project asks that each guest donates $10épresence blowpipe Kichwa and learn from their local cuisine, where we prepare a delicious Maito (traditional dish).

Limoncocha Lagoon . A stunning green-colored lagoon that harbors a distinct flora and fauna, perfectly adapted to the dynamic interaction between water and forest. Here, you'll encounter a remarkable variety of species, with a particular focus on water birds that resulting in its designation as a Ramsar site an international recognition for wetlands of significant importance. Ceibo Trail A fascinating adventure along the Napo River will lead us to the Indillama Trail where we will visit the largest tree in Yasuní call "El ceibo" (Kapok tree), accompanied by enigmatic waters, abundant wildlife, and breathtaking landscapes.

The Canopy Tower: The 120 ft. (36m) high forest canopy tower to observe a panoramic view of the rainforest, magnificent scale of the trees, flocks of colorful birds flying, troops of monkeys tussling, and an unobstructed view of miraculous Amazonia.

Parrot Clay Licks Visit two of the most accessible parrot clay licks in Ecuador are part of Añangu Community. Are the most stunning nature spectacles to see in Yasuni. These are natural banks containing great amount of minerals that birds and different animals feed up with. This event starts early in the morning when hundreds of vibrantly colored birds visit the licks and other animals.

Night Walks  Many animals remain hidden for most of the day, but at night the forest comes alive with hundreds of insects and other animals beyond your imagination, including tree frogs that range from the size of a fingernail to the size of a hand. A walk through the rainforest at night is an opportunity to discover the mysteries of what happens in the dark and hidden corners of the jungle where few dare to venture.

 

MOKEY'S ISLAND  Known as “Sumak Allpa (means charming land) is an environmental interpretation center that rescuing monkeys where jump, play and interact freely with each other just 30 minutes from the city of Coca. A suitable place for a complete experience without leaving the island.

 

Yaku Kawsay An ethnographic museum where you will find information about the wealth of aquatic life that inhabits the Yasuní, such as pink dolphins, manatees, paiches, among other species. In this place you can live the experience of releasing charapa turtles and walking along their trails. You will learn about their conservation and entrepreneurship projects along with a craft activity.pecies.
